     c:\usrs\inout\weppsol directory

      The program (soilgen) is designed to make WEPP and WEPS soil input
 files using USDA-NRCS Soil-5 data base.  Several assumptions have been made
 while calculating soil texture and soil water parameters.

 To generate soil input files, change to the c:\usrs\wepsoil\wepp
 directory, and type "soilgen".  The program accepts a two character code
 for each state.  The program will place the soils files in the
 c:\usrs\inout\weppsoil directory. The file names start with the soil
 name with the last character of c (for WEPP soil input for cropland) and r
 (for WEPP soil input file for rangeland). The extensions for WEPP files are
 *.sol.  The file which has an extension *.wps is a soil input file for the
 wind erosion model (WEPS).
