August 23, 1999 Dear WEPP User: A new WEPP model executable is now available which fixes several bugs that were identified in WEPP model version 98.4. The new WEPP model is version 99.5, and contains corrections to output, date handling (simulation year instead of calander year), corrections to OFE output, addition of sediment leaving an OFE to the large graphics output file as well as other fixes. There is also a new management option for residue additions, which can be utilized via the windows interface (not available via the DOS interface). Contour set start and end dates have been modified in the Fortran model, but setting of this option is currently not available via either the DOS or Windows interfaces. To do a minimum install the of the WEPP 99.5 program and DOS interface, transfer the following files to a temporary directory on your PC: INSTALL.EXE INSTALL.CFG NEWINFO.TXT WEPP995.SHR README.TXT then run the INSTALL program. If you need additional climate stations, transfer the appropriate archive (ZZ97SE.EXE, etc.), before running the install program. WEPP Version 99.5 should work with any existing WEPP model simulation runs which you have previously defined.
