| WEPP Model Update
Version 2004.7
The updated model version is included in the April 2005 install package. An error was identified in WEPP model version
2004.6 in predicting peak runoff rates for some situations, leading to unrealistic
runoff and erosion rates. This updated model executable corrects the
problem. To install the updated model download the wepp.exe file and
save it in the wepp subdirectory where WEPP Windows was installed
replacing the existing wepp.exe file. The location that the wepp model
is installed at is normally: For GeoWEPP and other GIS applications that can produce a large number of channel elements the following WEPP update should also be installed. This version has increased array sizes to handle upto 1000 channel elements in watershed simulations as well as the correction for peak runoff rates. Download the file wepp1000.exe file and replace the existing wepp1000.exe file found in the WEPP Windows install directory. Download WEPP 2004.7 Update with Larger Channel Array Size How to tell what version of WEPP is used In the WEPP Windows interface click on the Run button to run the default simulation. Next, click on the Text Output button and double-click on the first file listed - Main WEPP Output. The WEPP version number is listed towards the top of the file.
